Dali – “Figure at the Window”

While studying at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, in 1925, Salvador Dali painted one of the most perfect paintings of that period – “The Figure at the Window”. Dali painted the figure of a woman standing by the window and looking into the distance from his sister, Ana Maria. The painting is made in the style of classical realism; in his youth, Dali studied a lot of the work of realist artists. All his knowledge and skills splashed out onto this canvas. From the point of view of realism, the painting “Figure at the Window” is a masterpiece. The play of light turns into a play of penumbra and colors. The window overlooks the Gulf of CadaquĆ©s, but it seems that he is in a completely different reality.
